Skittles Vodka

Beer/Drinks

If you are a long time reader of this blog, you may remember me sharing with you a recipe to infuse vodka with Skittles.  This was a personal favorite of mine because I am an alcoholic.  Well, maybe not an alcoholic but I like to have a drink or two every now and then, plus this whole thing sounded way good to be true.  Anyways, I decided to try this out and have had pretty nice results so far.  Haven’t had much luck straining out all the white candy substance, but to tell you the truth I only tried to strain it once.  I just drank it with the candy still floating around in it.  Haha!

If you really want a detailed way to do this, go to the actual website.  I half-assed this a bit because I didn’t have cool containers or anything.  I just didn’t have the resources to go whole ass.  Give me a break here, I’m still a non-profit blogger.

Step 1 – Separate skittles by colors and place in some kind of containers.  I used mason jars because, like I said before, I just couldn’t find better containers.

Step 2 – Pour in vodka.  I used a half gallon and divided it equally.  I chose Burnett’s vodka because I’m poor, but feel free to use a better brand if you would like.

Step 3– SHAKE.  All the containers need to be shook like crazy.  I shook each container for 2 minutes or so, then put in the refrigerator for an hour.  I just kept repeating that until the little white candies had disintegrated.

Step 4– After the white candies are at a minimum, strain with coffee filters.  You should have to do this a few times.

Step 5 – After straining, place back in containers and leave in the freezer over night.

When consuming, be careful.  This stuff is 98% vodka. .

Or don’t be careful.  Just don’t try to say that John told you to be an alcoholic and mix your favorite childhood candy with adult beverages.
