Chili Cheese Burritos – Heaven?

by John on May 30, 2009 · 8 comments

Ok, I may be going a little crazy about Taco Bell today, but there’s something that needs to be addressed.  Currently lacking from the majority of Taco Bell menus across the nation is the Chili Cheese Burrito.  To be exact, only 716 locations out of 5,830 locations currently offer this dream wrapped in a tortilla.  Before, you could only cry yourself to sleep wishing you could have had 4-5 chili cheese burritos for dinner.  Now, there’s something you can do:

Your local taco bell most likely does not carry the Chili Cheese Burrito.

Shocked? You should be.

You see, a decade ago the Chili Cheese Burrito was available at nearly every Taco Bell around the globe. Now, individual Taco Bell owners are allowed to choose which items to put on their menus. Sadly, the Chili Cheese Burrito has become a casualty of corporate profit mongering.

Go see for yourself. The next time you drive by a Taco Bell, take a minute and pull up to the drive-through. You are sure to find the latest Grilled-Supreme-Nacho-Chalupa or Triple-Decker-7-Layer-Burrito monstrosities. However, you probably won’t find the simplest, tastiest Taco Bell product available: the Chili Cheese Burrito.

With your help, ChiliCheese.org strives to bring our beloved Chili Cheese Burrito back to every Taco Bell in the world. Look around, educate yourself, and join our fight to bring back the Chili Cheese Burrito.

Unless you hate freedom, you will visit this site and learn of all the ways you can help bring the Chili Cheese Burrito back.

I haven’t eaten Taco Bell in over 4 years, and I refuse to eat there until I know for certain that I can order a “Chilito” (the moniker I prefer due to my obsession with the morsel circa 1990).

Mind you– my girlfriend works for Yum Brands, so this boycott has been more difficult than you could imagine.

Hey, guess what I had for dinner tonight?! My closest TB has them. Pics and review to follow shortly.

When I first moved down here I was shocked they didn’t have them. They’re available everywhere around Grand Rapids.

maybe it is just about the part of the coutry im in or types of neighborhoods i end to live aroud but MOST of the taco bells i ever go to (in 3 diffrent states) carry chili chiese buritos… howver, its the Frito Burito that really needs the come back. that was just about my favorite thing ever. i commonly will stop by the gas station and pick up a bag of fritos and then go by taco bell and order a couple chili chese buritos +onions and then get home and add my fritos, wrap it up and wait about 5 mins for the chili to 1/2 way absorb in eh chips… now that is good stuff

Oh man, it kills me every time I go to TB here and cannot order this magnificent item. I miss it more than I miss my first dog I think.
