Does anyone out there remember back in the late 1980s and early 1990s when Wendy’s had the “Super Bar”?? They had it at the one in Ypsilanti, but I’m not sure how wide spread the whole thing was.
If you are unfamiliar with it, The Super Bar was sort of a buffet that was split up into at least three sections. One section being a typical salad bar, one Mexican with all the fixins to make your own tacos, burritos, etc., and the other Italian, often with small slices of pizza (cheese or pepperoni), pasta, garlic bread, etc..
I swear to god I used to go to Wendy’s and get the Super Bar once a week growing up. Why on earth did they get rid of it????

I invented the double decker taco at the Wendy’s Super Bar.
I remember the SuperBar at Wendy’s. As a fat kid, it was like the best friend I never had. Making your own mini nachos with the beef and cheese sauce was the best. That same cheese sauce was also good on their pasta offerings. I think they also got rid of their “Biggie” designation for a large drink too.
I ran the SuperBar for quite a while at the Wendy’s in my area. Sometime after I had left they got rid of them all. I heard from friends that the company 86’d it because of the cost to maintain but also sell “All you can eat.”
I can’t believe it. I thought I was the only one that remembered the Super Bar.
OH MY COD! You guys are all the BEST! I’m 31 and dating a girl who’s 22 and was only just now able to show her that there WAS such a thing… you all listed my favorites, but everyone left out the best thing the super bar had to offer……the strawberry bannana sauce,juice, thing,dessert!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I the only one?! Surely you guys just left that out…. I was a real connisseur (don’t know how to spell that)…… The once a week guy.. my grandma had choir practice…… so cool ya’ll
Umm, u guys left out one of the best parts of that Super Bar… WORLD’S GREATEST CHOCOLATE PUDDING EVER!!! That stuff was delicious!!! But, ALL of the food on that Superbar was fantastic. It really was an absolute treat. I was not old enough to go there without my parents when it existed, but thankfully my mom would take us there quite often as kids. Yummy!!!

I actually worked at Wendy’s through high school (3 yrs) and the Super Bar was my FAVORITE! My son didn’t believe me that Wendy’s had that so I googled it and found this! Lol! The nacho bar was amazing! Good times!
