In my continued effort to visit every authentic Mexican joint in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area, I stopped into Taqueria la Fiesta in Ypsilanti. This is a little hole in the wall that meets every single one of my criteria for a respectable Mexican restaurant. They even serve menudo on the weekends. That will have to be my next meal there.
You’ve heard me talk enough about how much I love authentic Mexican food, so I will let the photos do the talking here. If you like the stuff as much as me, Taqueria la Fiesta is a must stop for you.

I had been searching for good Mexican food in the Ypsi-Arbor area for a while, so I was delighted when I tried La Fiesta. However, just today, I stumbled upon La Casita (2866 Washtenaw, Ypsilanti) and found the food to be just as delicious, though with bigger portions and even cheaper lunch prices. I was completely stuffed after my $6 flauta plate. The flautas themselves are large than those at La Fiesta (though I could have done without the sour cream) and they’re served with generous portions of rice and beans. I hope you have a chance to visit this place and give it a full review on your blog!
