Blacked Out.

While I don’t normally condone the consumption of Quickie Burger(some may argue with me), I felt that if I didn’t share this photo of  Blacked out Sarah eating a triple burger at 3 AM..  Well, I should probably just cancel this food blog altogether, and according to the three of you that commented on my last post that would be a bad thing for AT LEAST three people.

That thing is fucking massive.

A monster like that at 3am… my God. Congratulations on that effort!

Well, this is probably a quite useless comment in terms of high-value content but I just want to explain that these are the kinds of thoughts which come to my mind when I read your quick notes or reports and anecdotes here. Most times I’m surprised, impressed and feel the intense urge to get my hands on a meal like yours, sometimes I’m also shocked (if a restaurant experiment fails royally), but I’m nearly always fascinated how clear and passionate you comment about those meal-related topics. May it be the crappy fastfood restaurant which you just visitied and throw very creative metaphorical insults at, or on the other hand the exquisite meal you obviously enjoyed still for hours after the “eating act” itself. I love those descriptions. YET I normally do not comment about that because I could not come up with evenly witty comments to a funny blog entry.

You said “a bad thing for AT LEAST three people”… It seems there may be a hint of disappointment about the lazy EpicPortions community in that sentence. I am a loyal follower to that blog and always happy to find a new entry here. So I just wanted to make sure that you know that there are LOTS of fans out there in the shadows (even in distant countries, with no direct opportunity to visit your region or even the USA in the next time), secretly enjoying your blog. I’m aware that everyone likes (positive) feedback, but sometimes it’s difficult to find the appropriate form for that. Well, don’t close the blog. Ever.

Bernd, your comment is very much appreciated. Thank you so much for the thoughts on the writing. It means a lot.

Epic Portions will not close and I am joking when I say thank you to the three people who care and blah blah blah. I’ve always done EP because it’s fun for me to share the experiences I have with food. When I’m not inspired, I simply don’t post. I’ve never tried to be one of those blogs who posts bullshit every day just for the sake of having material available on a frequent basis. I appreciate EVERYONE who reads this and continues to check back for posts.
