  • Ypsilanti Summer Beer Festival

    If you’re any where close to the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor do yourself a favor and come to the Ypsilanti Summer Beer Festival on July 24th-25th put on by the Michigan Brewer’s Guild.  Tickets are on sale now for $25-$30 depending on if you go on Friday or Saturday.  The festival features over 2000 beers from more than 30 different Michigan breweries, good food, and live music.  It’s a great opportunity to taste some of the best beer that local breweries have to offer.

    Tickets can be purchased on their website, or at the gate but tickets are limited so I would suggest that you order them in advance.

  • Obama + Good Food = Me Like President

    One thing that I have noticed about Barack Obama, since he took office, is the man eats some damn good food.  I feel like our president’s views on eating can not be questioned.  Say what you want about his foreign policy, bailout plans,  whatever you want,  I’m here talking about the food, buddy.  Because this is a food blog.  If I wrote about politics you would not read this blog ever again, and there’s a reason for that.  I’m about the food.

    If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know good and well that John likes him some bacon.  He also likes talking in the third person for some reason.  He doesn’t actually do that in real life.  Only on Epic Portions.
