Pancho Villa’s 8 LB. Burrito

by John on April 26, 2009 · 11 comments

Many thanks to Craig, a reader of the blog/lover of freedom, for sending me this picture of Pancho Villa’s 8 lb. Super Burrito.  This tray sized burrito is stuffed with your choice of ground beef, shredded beef or shredded chicken,  lettuce, onions, tomatoes, beans, and rice.  The price tag is $14.95 but if you can finish it there’s no charge.  That must be some kind of sick joke.

Apparently Craig was not aware that the “Super Burrito” weighed in at 8 pounds, and managed to get through about 4  pounds of it.  For this effort, I salute you.

I’m going to finish it one day.

Did you end up competing in Rock the Tot? I finished second in my round. The first basket of tots I got were extremely rubbery and my jaw was killing me, I only lost by a little over an ounce(the kid who beat me almost threw up.)

I signed up for the May 10th Mallie’s Qualifier. I was told there wasn’t a time limit, so I’m feeling pretty confident.

Nah, I ended up having to work that night. I know the kid who won it at the Livonia contest. Mallie’s is just based on how many hot dogs you can eat? Damn.

Yeah, when I asked how long the contest was going to be and the guy said until everybody else passes out or pukes. I think there are six spots for the IFOCE contest, not sure if second and third place get any prizes.

Damn, that might be something I need to show up for. I wonder how many hot dogs Joey Chesnutt could take down without a time limit.

Yeah, it should be pretty crazy. I’d go watch this Sunday if I wasn’t going to be out of town this weekend. I might do a test run instead of the Frankenstein Burger.

This is hilarious because I was searching online for a photo of this burrito the other day because literally yesterday, I was at Pancho Villas at 15 mile with my buddy and wife and my friend FINISHED IT!!!! It was definately an awesome site to see. My wife and I split one and we only made it through about half. I am still in awe that he actually ate the whole thing and Pancho’s did live up to their word and didnt charge him a dime. If you want to verify, just ask anyone there if someone recently finished it because his picture is due to go on the wall sometime this week! It took my friend about 15 minutes to clear through about the first 85% of it and then another 15 minutes for the rest. He is not a fat guy either! lol.

I wish anyone good luck on trying to eat this thing. I have leftovers for the week!
