  • Tios. Torn Down. Part 2

For some reason, AnnArbor.com has continued their coverage of the recent destruction of Tios’ old location.  In response, I will continue my coverage of Tios’ destruction of Mexican food.  This place is a disgrace and this event should be celebrated.  The only sad thing about this is Tios was allowed to relocate and still remains in business.  Until people realize how bad this food is and visit the many respectable Mexican joints in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area, I will continue my smear campaign.

Actually, I will make this promise.   If Tios decides to stop serving yellow cheese in their establishment I will visit and do a full review on their food.  I will not be biased, and will give whatever they serve me an honest chance.  The choice is up to you, Tios.  If you continue to destroy my favorite food in the entire world, I will continue to talk mad smacky McSmackerson about your business.

I really want to hear from you.  I know you’re aware of what I’m saying.  Check out Google Images and see if anything looks familiar.  Stop using yellow cheese, and I promise you a full review and possibly an apology for what I’ve said about you in the past.

  • Tios. Torn Down.

On December 8th, 2009 the City of Ann Arbor tore down Tios Mexican Cafe.

Unfortunately, it was just for relocation.  Damnit.  Couldn’t someone have re-routed the bulldozers to tear down their current location?  Someone get this done.  This place has disgraced good Mexican food long enough.  I will not end my tirade against Tios until they are gone forever.  Warn your friends and Ann Arbor tourists, if there is such a thing.  Do not eat at Tios.  Ever.

  • Dear Tios, You Suck

Tios’ latest attempt to lure Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor residents into eating their terrible food is an eating competition involving 5 pounds of nachos, called Mount Nacheesmo.  I would normally be pretty pumped about an eating competition in my hometown of Ypsilanti, but I am on a strict boycott of anything involving Tios Mexican Cafe.

In true Tios fashion, the nachos closely resemble something you could easily make at home.  Check out that guacamole.  Look familiar?  Maybe a certain guacamole served by Taco Bell?  Or something that fixes leaks in your plumbing?  Sick.  This looks like 4.5 pounds of tortilla chips with nacho topping garnishes.  I think I’ll keep my $29.99 and Tios can keep their t-shirts.  Boo Tios.  Boo.
