Todd got me thinking about waffles with his previous post, and I was going through some old pictures and came across this beautiful sight. Never in my life have I had a New York strip steak in New York, Canadian bacon in Canada, Boston cream pie in Boston, or Wisconsin cheese in Wisconsin.
I have, however, had Belgian waffles in Belgium. I’m telling you. These things are beyond ridiculous. For only 2 Euros, you can have your pick from these babies on every street corner.
The point I am trying to make is that if Eggo has the shortage they predict, I might need to relocate to Belgium. I need my waffles.

What a great memory that is. I didn’t think I liked Belgian waffles because I had only had the American version, all bready and soft. The real ones are crispy and only big on the ridges, flat between them…and oh, that chocolate!
